SSE Renewables is a leading developer and operator of renewable energy. We are a British-Irish company headquartered in Scotland. We are expanding in Europe, including in the Netherlands, and across Asia, North America and Australia.
We have an operational portfolio of around 4GW of wind (onshore and offshore) and hydro generation, with more than 13GW of projects under development.
Our operational portfolio includes nearly 2GW of onshore wind capacity, almost 0.5GW of offshore wind capacity and almost 1.5GW of flexible hydropower and pumped storage capacity. With this, we produce around 10TWh of renewable energy annually.
We’re committed to delivering the green energy the world needs now and in the future. Our 13GW+ construction and development pipeline includes 3.5GW of onshore wind, 1.5GW of pumped storage and 8.4GW of offshore wind. This is the largest offshore wind development pipeline in the UK and Ireland.

We’re building a lot of offshore wind power, including the world's largest wind farm, the Dogger Bank project (3.6GW) in the North Sea. We are also developing the deepest-fixed wind farm, the Seagreen project (1.1GW) off the Scottish coast.
We are a team of 1,500 renewable energy professionals spread across the UK, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Japan, the US and the Netherlands. We’ve honed our skills and built up our knowledge over the past 15 years by developing and delivering world-leading projects. Our expertise cover areas including project design and optimisation, consenting and stakeholder engagement, financing, procurement, construction and operations.
